El-Shabazz Ubaid Abdullah, is an experienced and mature Masters Level Social Worker with a firm commitment to social care. His experience is rooted in a rock solid background of working with disadvantaged youth and adults including the homeless, the incarcerated and special needs populations. El-Shabazz holds three degrees, Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Alcohol and Substance Abuse from Essex County College, Newark, NJ, Bachelors of Arts Degree from Newark College of Arts and Science, in Social Work from Rutgers with a minor in Afro-American and African Studies and a Masters Degree from the School of Social Work, Rutgers the State University of New Jersey.

El-Shabazz is currently eligible to test for the LCADC after completing the Addiction Counsleor Training Certificate (ACT) program through the Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies and Rutgers School of Social Work in 2016.
El-Shabazz has experience working with and for Methadone Clinics, incarcerated males through the Mountainview Program NJ-STEP and facilitated weekly men’s fatherhood groups in the New Jersey Northern Region under Parents Anonymous of New Jersey. El-Shabazz presently works with the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services as an Intensive In-Community Behavioral Specialist for youths. El-Shabazz is confident and pleased to be a part of Clarity Treatment Services as a team member.
